SOMMAR, SOMMAR, SOMMAR

Finally, after weeks with rain we got sunshine. The forcast for the next couple of days look promising. Today its been around 20c something. Took a long walk, just relaxed and enjoyed the sun.
School is over for this term. Both for me and my daughter. Myself, I finished this term with a business runner. I´m proud to say that I had a group were we came on the 2nd place among 15 teams. It was "just" to do what we learned during the term and use our personal skills to put it in action. Now, we ended up on second place...but were sooo close to win. Of course the first minute or so was a slight dissappointment - when you are just a digit away of winning...but what a h-ll. It was a game where the purpose was to see if we could use our knowledge in a "real" ;-) situation.. Real or not, we were good, damn good and had a lot of fun while we did the right things with perfect timing..Ler

Sunny Thursday

Just a short update today. Was in School all afternoon y-day. We are almost done with all for this term, now its "just" the final exams - and thats a bit stressful.
I will take a long walk in the sun now, just to reload and get energy and then sit down and start with the first part.
Have a great day my friends,

Cloudy Monday

Monday again. Partly cloudy. My daughter and her boyfriend are on a flight to New York. One week with shopping and exploring the city. They were both rather excited this morning when I drove them to the city, from  where they took the expresstrain to the airport. They will have a week with mostly rain, but I don't think that matter much to them. They've planned to stay in a suite at a very fancy hotel for the first two nights with a marvolous view out of the city from the bedroom, and then change to another hotel from the third night. I'm sure they will have an absolutely great time over there.
Got a phonecall from a former workmate this morning, and we decided to continue to explore Stockholms culture, -museeums, Opera, theather, galleries etc.
I'll make a couple of phonecalls, thats all on my scedule for today, except for my visit to the gym tonight and then see if I can get more people to join us on our prebooked first visit this year to the National museum; http://www.nationalmuseum.se/sv/English-startpage/Visit-the-museum/Nationalmuseum-in-brief/
Well, folks that will be all scribblings from me today.
Take care and have a great start of the new week.

Walpurgis Night

Thursday, just a short update. Its walpurigs night. In Sweden this evening is celebrated as the arrival of spring. Currently, I'm running back and forth between my computer and the kitchen. Making some cakes for desert tonight. Don't know if theres an english word for a party were all bring different things to the table, but In Swedish its called "knytkalas". I just made two Brownies and two pie's. One with rasberrries and cocos and one mixed with rasberries and blueberries. It will taste great with ice cream and whipped cream.

According to Swedish tradition, everyone will go to see the bonfire and sing in the spring tonight. Its one of springs great celebrations and the party will go on until early morning. Students, both "old" and new - will wear their prom hats. Tomorrow its first of May and everyone is free from work - I guess theres quite a few who are greatful for that *smiling*

Wish you all a great evening/ night and a really nice weekend.
Take care / M

Sunny Friday

Fantastic! I just love this time of the year! Its been an amazing day. Sat on my balcony and read a book while I was listening to my new ipod shuffle..mmm
Just finished dinner, chili con carne, which was great - long time since I did that - and I'm now just relaxing in my sofa with a glass of red south african wine.

Arranged with my flowers on my balcony today. Bought a big lime coloured flowerpot and a spaljé, don't know if thats the correct name in English, but its something you put up against the wall for your climbing flowers to have something to lean on. Will buy pink climbing roses when the risk for frost is over.

Got another test from school y'day. My plans are to do it during the weekend. Usually it means that I have to go back in my books again just to check up what was what. Also, it usually are questions with a "twist" meaning, that if one doesn't read the sentences carefully, its easy to think one know the correct answers from a simular text in the book - but when looking at it again it has a completely different meaning...of course this is done by purpose just to see if we got the meaning of the subject and not just rehearsed the sentences. Last time it was done with a twinkle in the eye, and  I really enjoy when people put time and effort into what they are doing..

Its amazing how fast time flies by. Its just a month left on this term! Its been exciting and I'm really glad I decided to go back to studying again. Its been like a wake up, all of a sudden one feel more "awake" and alert. Things around are different in some strange way. I feel more engaged! Have even more energy! Feel happy!
